Throughout the trailer, you see the mention of “Leonida Man,” which is their take on the “Florida Man.” Anyone who has heard that phrase understands that it is often associated with a man in Florida who makes the news under unusual circumstances. Now, if it wasn’t obvious from the trailers, Leonida is Rockstar’s version of Florida. Grand Theft Auto 6 takes place in the fictional state of Leonida. The thing is, for those who live in the United States, and more so around Florida, then you’d see this time around, a good chunk of what was shown off did happen. That’s because, most of the time, Rockstar takes things up a notch, so while it’s based on real stuff, at the end of the day, it’s a joke, something that players are well aware of.īut with the release of the GTA 6 trailer now finally here, there’s a lot of “satire” that Rockstar Games is known for. There’s plenty of that in GTA that has produced moments so outrageous that it’s hard to believe they’re true. Life Invader from GTA 5 is one of those examples, mocking real-life Facebook by leaning into some of its major concerns, such as privacy, only it’s blatantly advertised as part of their features rather than something hidden. Rockstar Games and GTA have always played into satire, exaggerating things that have happened. Ladies and gentlemen, I have bad news for you, we’ve been playing Grand Theft Auto 6 this whole time. What if I were to tell you that every crazy thing you saw in the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer happened in real life? No, for real, as while Rockstar Games is typically known to exaggerate things with their satirical takes, a lot of stuff featured throughout the trailer did actually happen.
